Heaven Skincare Launches 'Hormone Holidays'

At Heaven Skincare, we are proud to be changing the way we support our employees. We believe that true wellness extends beyond the products we create — it includes the wellbeing of the people who make our vision possible. That’s why, as 2026 begins, we are thrilled to launch Hormone Holidays, an unlimited leave initiative designed to support hormonal health in the workplace.

Hormonal changes can affect every aspect of life, from menopause symptoms to period-related discomfort and conditions such as endometriosis. Yet, conversations about these experiences have historically been silenced in office environments. At Heaven Skincare, we’re taking a bold step to change that.

Our Hormone Holidays policy allows employees to take time off for any symptoms related to hormonal health without needing to provide medical evidence or personal details. By doing so, we aim to remove the stigma often associated with hormonal changes, ensuring our team feels supported, valued, and understood.

“As a female who has just turned 60, I’ve experienced many hormonal challenges and shifts in my life. I’ve also seen how isolating these conversations can be for women in the workplace,” says Deborah Mitchell, founder of Heaven Skincare. “This policy is about using empathy and common sense to support real people — not just staff — during hormonal changes.”

Our commitment to employee wellbeing and hormonal health goes beyond time off. Heaven Skincare already provides a range of supportive measures including:

  • Hot water bottles and comfort blankets

  • Sanitary products

  • Flexible working arrangements to accommodate symptoms

“Understanding the stages of the menstrual cycle is something that needs to be spoken about more openly,” says Director Ella Cox. “Creating a supportive environment allows our employees to feel valued and empowered to do their best work.”

By introducing Hormone Holidays, We hope to encourage other businesses to take hormonal health seriously. With petitions for government-mandated menstrual leave gaining over 76,000 signatures, it’s clear that the workplace needs to adapt to the realities of hormonal health.

“Hormonal symptoms don’t reset in January, and they don’t disappear because someone is at work. This policy recognises that reality. We are starting the year with empathy and setting an example,” adds Deborah Mitchell.

At Heaven Skincare, we’re proud to combine luxury skincare innovation with forward-thinking employee care. Supporting hormonal health is not just the right thing to do — it’s essential for creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.
