Skincare for Hay Fever Sufferers

Hay fever can really affect your skin during the summer. The combination of allergens in the air, frequent sneezing and nasal congestion can lead to dryness, sensitivity and even breakouts. By implementing a skincare routine tailored to your needs, you can alleviate discomfort and maintain healthy, radiant skin.

Gentle Cleansing:

During hay fever season, it's essential to cleanse your skin effectively without causing further irritation. Steer clear of fragrances and harsh chemicals and instead use one with soothing ingredients to tackle inflammation and reduce redness. Cleanse morning and night with my calming, gentle Hydro Cleansing Milk.

Hydrate and Soothe:

Hay fever symptoms can leave your complexion feeling dry and dehydrated. Go for a hydrating moisturiser like Love Your Skin - it contains hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture and strengthen the skin's barrier. Apply after cleansing while your face is slightly damp to enhance hydration and relieve dryness.

Soothing Eye Care:

Red, itchy and swollen eyes are common symptoms of hay fever. Protect the delicate skin with a soothing gel to minimise redness and alleviate itchiness. My Chamomile Hydrogel is gentle enough to use around your eyes and contains calming chamomile. If you wear makeup, opt for hypo-allergenic and fragrance-free cosmetics to minimise further irritation.

Choose Anti-Inflammatory:

Treat your skin to products that contain organic ingredients. Because bee Venom is naturally anti-inflammatory it will provide relief from sensitivity. The healing properties in my Silver Bee Venom Mask mean it's also great for those with blemishes, rosacea, eczema, dry and mature skin.

Make Some Simple Changes:

After spending time outdoors, wash your face and change your clothes to remove any pollen that may have settled on your skin. Additionally, consider using a hypo-allergenic laundry detergent and avoid fragranced skincare products that exacerbate symptoms.
