There’s s one thing my new Nettle Venom products have in common (other than the amazing anti-ageing properties of my patented NETTATOXIN® formula of course!). I have used totally recyclable packaging, including bamboo lids.
The reason I chose bamboo is due to its sustainability. Traditionally seen as a symbol of strength and flexibility, there are many reasons this wonder plant is known as “the world’s most renewable material”. It can grow up to one metre a day while absorbing five times more carbon dioxide and producing 35% more oxygen than trees.
To be able to grow this fast, bamboo requires very little water and when it is harvested it regenerates itself from its own root system – something you’ll be well aware off if you have any in your garden.
DID YOU KNOW?
Bamboo is not actually wood; it's a form of sweet grass and is one of the fastest-growing, strongest and most sustainable plants on earth.
The record for the highest bamboo plant is an incredible 48 metres.
It doesn’t require any pesticides or fertiliser to grow successfully and is very effective at preventing soil erosion.
Bamboo fibres have natural antibacterial properties, making it a great material for eco-friendly clothing.
You can shop my Nettle Venom Anti-Ageing Cream and Nettle Venom Eyes online and in selected Heaven salons.
