Why Vegan Skincare Matters

Over the past few years, there has been a significant rise in vegan skincare. To mark Earth Day, I explore the reasons behind this rise in plant-based beauty, why it matters and how it can benefit your skin.

Why Vegan Skincare Matters:

Vegan skincare is not just a trend, it's a lifestyle choice. Vegan products are made without the use of any animal-derived ingredients and use plant-based alternatives instead. It's cruelty-free, meaning that no animals are harmed in the production or testing of the products.

Benefits of Vegan Skincare:

Switching to vegan skincare can have numerous benefits for your skin. Firstly, plant-based ingredients are often packed with vitamins and antioxidants, which can help to nourish and protect. They are also less likely to cause irritation or allergic reactions, making them suitable for people with sensitivity issues. They are also often free from harmful chemicals, such as parabens and sulphates.

The Rise of Vegan Skincare:

The vegan skincare market has grown significantly over the past few years. In 2019, the global vegan cosmetics market was valued at more than £10billion and is expected to reach £16billion by 2025. According to The Vegan Society, sales have risen by 38% in the past year in the UK alone.

Heaven's Vegan Hero Product:

For a lifted, more radiant complexion, Nettle Venom Cream is 100% vegan yet still offers potent anti-ageing properties. Containing my ground-breaking, plant-based NETTATOXIN® the nettle sting makes the skin tingle before your own serotonin gets to work to heal blemishes and redness. With regular use, the skin continues this healing action, smoothing lines as it does so. Rather than using Manuka honey, as I have done in some of my previous bestsellers, I have blended the nettles with vegan-friendly maple syrup which works in tandem to help firm the skin.
