With more and more people looking for plant-based beauty, we asked Scarlett - who has been vegan for four years - to pick her favourite skincare products from the Heaven collection.

“When I first went vegan the hardest thing I had to do was get rid of so many of the beauty products I had come to rely on every day. I must have given away hundred of pounds worth of make-up and skincare, but I was determined that if I was going to vegan when it came to what I ate then I needed to follow that through with what I put on my face”.

If you’re new to buying vegan skincare then you want something that really works – I’d recommend Nettle Venom Cream. When I had previously tried plant-based moisturisers I found them quite thin and didn’t feel like they lasted very long. I love that this one feels really thick and luxurious, I apply it every morning after cleansing and my skin feels soft and well nourished for the whole day.

I've never really used an eye cream before, but I've been trying the Nettle Venom Eyes over the last few weeks. It's not as thick as the Nettle Venom Cream, so is perfectly suited for the eye area - especially if I'm feeling tired and need something to brighten my skin.

It’s probably not a great thing to admit but I’ve always bought cheap wipes; having tried the Ella Jane Refresh Face Wipes I’m an absolute convert. The peppermint smells so fresh and really leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean. If I had to choose one desert island product from the Heaven range then it would definitely be the Peppermint Hydrogel. I’ve been using this morning and night for a while now and I’ve really noticed my skin’s hydration has improved significantly. I also love that it can be used as a primer for under my foundation, giving me real value for my money.

It’s so easy to use; it foams instantly and I really feel it cleans my skin, clearing my pores and leaving it glowing. And the smell is just wonderful – the organic mandarin essential oil definitely perks me up in the morning.
