Whatever your skin type – be it oily, sensitive or spot-prone – a twice-daily skincare regime is essential to ensure your face is at its healthiest. Throughout the day, your skin comes into contact with all manner of dirt, pollutants and environmental factors; not looking after it properly morning and night and you’ll soon find you’re suffering from constant break-outs, blocked pores, grease and early ageing signs. However, you don’t need all manner of high-tech beauty devices, this simple three-step routine will ensure your complexion gets the lockdown love it deserves.
1: Start with a thorough cleanse to remove the build-up of daily dirt and makeup. Soak your face with warm water, making sure it’s not too hot as this can actually dehydrate your skin and damage sensitive areas, before applying a small amount of cleanser. Gently massage in a circular motion, avoiding the eye area, for between 30-60 seconds so it can work its magic. Rinse thoroughly and pat, not rub, your face dry with a clean, soft towel.

2: I often get asked why do we need to tone our skin and the answer is simple... it helps maintain a healthy and clear complexion. 3: Finish off with a small amount of moisturiser (remember a little goes a long way) and gently massage with your fingertips, not forgetting to cover the all-important neck area; you don’t want the skin on your face looking healthier than the skin on your neck. Choose a product that is designed for your skin, for example a gentle formula for sensitivity issues or a thicker cream for more mature skin, and opt for a specific one for your more delicate eye area.
