" My tips are based on starting three or four days before your New Year’s Eve event. I would start exfoliating and don't leave it until just before your event. We have an amazing Bee Peel. You apply it and it takes away all the little fine lines on your skin and makes your skin look really glassy.
It also tones your skin and makes it tighter and firmer for your event. I would do this three or four days before. Then, on the day, I would use our Bee Polish. It polishes the skin and gives your skin that glassy look.
I’ve got a slight puffiness under my eyes, so if I polish tonight, tomorrow that puffiness will be completely gone. If you have any of those occurrences, do the polish the day before and on the day.
Another tip is how to make your makeup last longer on the day. Do not use an oil-based moisturiser. If you use an oil-based moisturiser before going out, it will make your makeup slide off. Halfway through the evening you’ll think, “Gosh, I look like I haven’t got any makeup on.”
Our Age Defiance Moisturiser is the very best for New Year’s Eve. You can use it around your eyes and it’s absolutely brilliant. Those are my three product tips.
Now, a few makeup tips. When you’re applying your lipstick to go out, make sure you put your foundation on first. Then apply your lipstick on top of your foundation. Next, apply a couple of dots of foundation on top of your lipstick, and then reapply your lipstick again.
You’ll have two layers, and this will stick your lipstick on like glue. When you’re drinking, the first layer will come off, but the second layer won’t. It will start rubbing off during the night and you’ll be left with fresh, nice lipstick.
Another tip is blusher. You don’t want to look over-blushed in the evening because you might get warmer. Apply your contour and blusher first, then apply powder all over the top, and then lightly pop a bit of blusher on top. That gives you two layers.
Another great tip: if you look at your makeup and think it looks a bit flat or too strong, take your blusher brush with what’s left on it and sweep it at the corners of your eyes. This evens up your whole face without adding too much makeup and gives you an even, bright look.
Lastly, you must seal your makeup. A brilliant sealing product is our Collagen Mist. It makes your skin go tight, firm, and smooth, and it also seals your makeup.
I’m wishing you all a very happy New Year. Thank you very much for the last 12 months, and I’m looking forward to the new year with you!" - Deborah x
