The other day a client asked me what are free radicals and why do they matter when it comes to looking after our skin. So here’s a simple biology lesson: Free radicals are unstable molecules that bump into stable atoms, protons and electrons in our skin, causing damage to our complexion and speeding up the ageing process. The trouble, is much like the pollution that surrounds us in our towns and cities, free radicals are everywhere.
To protect against them we need to make sure our skin is balanced. Think of it like this; if you’re on a seesaw with someone heavier than you then it doesn’t balance out and you may fall off and hurt yourself. Because free radicals are unstable they attach themselves to healthy cells to balance themselves out. As our skin ages it loses its balance, or the seesaw affect, this leads to brown spots and pigmentations.
To achieve complexion perfection and halt any further damage, we need to be using products that balance out our skin, making it feel younger, fresher, firmer and pigment-free.
My Bee Polish digests these naughty free radicals and extracts toxins without harming the outer layer of the skin. It’s the first non-abrasive, anti-ageing exfoliator to contain the patented formula ABEETOXIN® that helps alleviate fine lines and wrinkles as well as lighten pigmentation.
I created my Bee Peel to blast free-radicals, boost the production of collagen and increase the strength and elasticity of your skin. With a potent mix of ingredients – including ABEETOXIN®, organic coconut and raw cane sugar – it also resurfaces and evens-out tone, minimising the visibility of lines, scars, dark spots, blemishes and enlarged pores to leave skin smooth and plump.
My luxurious Divine Cream is suitable for all skin types but works particularly well on more mature complexions thanks to its innovative anti-ageing properties. It melts away free radicals and the pigmentation they can cause while re-building the tissue that is full of healthy cells. It also contains organic mandarin and orange, both natural sources of vitamin C, which help increase collagen and elastin levels for a more youthful appearance.
