Our hands are happiest when they live in the balanced position between acid and alkaline. If you go back to your school science lessons you’ll remember that the pH level – measured on a scale of 1-14 – refers to how acidic or alkaline something is. Normal, healthy skin measures between 6.5 to 7.5 and this shows it is performing as it should.
When we wash our hands too much – as we are all, quite rightly, being asked to do so now – the harsh chemicals in many off-the-shelf hand gels makes our skin too alkaline and this is when it starts to become dry and flaky. With this in mind I developed my super nourishing Vanilla Pod Hand Cream. It’s is made with powdered sand and added anti-viral sandalwood, and these combined provide a protective barrier, stop our hands from drying out and stop dirt becoming ingrained.
I suggest you apply this non-greasy skin saviour first thing in the morning and throughout the day as needed to protect during daily activities and chores and keep skin feeling soft and cared. It has a wonderfully heady scent of coconut and vanilla, and is so gentle and natural that it can also be used on your lips and nails.
But don’t just take my word for it. Here’s how clients describe it: “This is a lovely product. The fragrance is delightful and one pump from its cleverly designed container dispenses the optimal amount. Most importantly, it does a stellar job of conditioning skin”; while another added: “After only a few days my hands are so much softer. The cracking at the base of my thumbs has dramatically improved”.
