I get asked a lot what exactly is normal skin, and the easiest way to explain it is to take you back to those pH tables you learned about in your school science lessons. The pH level of our skin – measured on a scale of 1-14 – refers to how acidic or alkaline it is. Your complexion is healthiest, or normal, when it is slightly alkaline, at 6.5 to 7.5. Put simply, this means your skin is performing as it should.
